"Invisalign" - Industrial

I shot this video with the folks over at Element 151. We did one day of B-roll at a shop where they make aligners by hand, and then a second day of interviews. Everything was shot 2 camera on a pair of Canon 7D's with a small kino and grip package.

"Strike 3" - Commercial

This is my third spot for Store Front Political Media, but the first with founder Eric Jaye directing. Eric was a great collaborator, we talked about the tone and what sort of coverage he was trying to get; then I built the shots around those ideas. After that things came together very quickly.

We shot for a half day starting pre-dawn to take advantage of the early morning light. We covered all the wides in the morning as the sun was coming up, then moved in for close ups as the day progressed. I used several 6'x6' frames of diffusion; 1/4 grid, bleached muslin, and china silk to match the morning light in the close ups. I also took advantage of the extremely shallow focus you can achieve with the s35 sized sensor of the Canon 7D to give the spot a more cinematic feel.

Berner "Hard Headed" - Official Music Video

So I've been to some crazy places in my life. I've filmed for three years in San Quentin Prison, up and down South Central Blvd in the middle of the night, and I've never been anywhere as crazy as the place we shot this video.
